I have just got a 1994 merc w140 coupe. The problem is that it has a dent on the dashbord it is above the glovebox in the square where it says srs it looks as though somebody has thumped the dash. Is ther any way of getting behind it to prize the dent out. Please help as you can appreciate it looks terrible. Thanks.

Step 1: Glovebox - Remove the glove box inner liner. Disconnect the cable for the glovebox latch and the glovebox light.
Step 2: Airbag - Disconnect negative battery terminal, look through the glovebox liner opening; there are 2 10mm nuts on either side. Undo them. Remove the airbag connector and slide the airbag out through the opening.
Step 3: The airbag cover has a metal backing; now look for anything that will fit via the glovebox liner and start to push the dent out. I suspect you won't get it out 100% but you can get it close. Patience is key.
Step 4. Put it all back together.

All assuming the OP still has the Car! 😏
