Yes, my W140 moos at me! After I switch off the ignition key, I get one, or sometimes two mooing sounds which seem to be coming from in front of the steering wheel. It could be from under the engine bay, not sure. It's the sound of expelling air I guess.
Anyone have any ideas where to look?
I also have some other issues if anyone has an ideas. When cold, the car has a steering shake that lasts for a couple of miles. Nothing extreme, just the wheel shifting left/right. It did it with the old set of tyres and does it with a new set so I don't think it's tyres/wheel balance. I had the steering damper replaced which was ruined, and also had two new tie rod ends fitted to go through the MOT.
There was an advisory about the bushes but the mechanic said they were fine and didn't require replacing.
Just drove south coast to Leeds and back last two days. Ran like a dream and did 28 mpg. Not bad for a big old bus.
