W168 sill replacement costs

Hi all. My daughters a class has failed its mot. Mainly normal bits and bobs but the big issue is rust which sounds like 2 new sills. Would anyone have a rough idea of cost as this could determine the car’s fate. Thanks in advance.

Got any pix that show the extent of the rot?

No sorry. The mot tester saw the rust through an access hole and said it would probably be further which is almost certain. It’s all covered in plastic so can’t see nothing from the outside I’m just thinking worst case 2 new sills

I hate to be a prophet of doom but that sounds like major expense. Is the car worth it?

Rust can be a killer and just the first step to further expense.

Please don't listen to me as I don't know the car at all. Mine's 33 years old and a questionaby classic.

Others may slap me down but these are just my feelings.
