W169 Radio no sound 2005

Hi All my Audio 20 with harmon Kardon amplifier and boot subwoofer shows a display but has no sound.

This coupled with the battery going flat!

Pulling the radio and amplifier fuses has stopped the battery going flat

questions

1 where is the amplifier situated?

2 is this a common problem?

3 what other audio options do I have to get it all working again?

Does anyone have a wiring diagram?

The amp is in the boot on the right hand side behind the trim panel.

Options to get it going again are find the fault and replace the part. Most likely the amp.

Hi amplifier was faulty and needed a new capacitor , a couple of quids worth.I found a clever electronics guy who investigated and found a faulty capacitor which he replaced and its been working great
