Morning all

My trusty 190 has developed an interesting problem that I'm having trouble with.

On Saturday I found that the battery was flat as a pancake.

Gave it a jump start and drove it around all day. No issues, and then on the Monday the same thing happened!

Looked around for things left on, and there is absolutely nothing.

Car stereo switched off
Air con off
Heater off
No car alarm

There is no evidence of anything being left on. A bit baffling really.

The alternator is doing it's job. That was evident from the weekend.

Is there anything glaringly obvious that I've missed?

Cheers

Connect an ammeter between your battery and earth (disconnect earth lead). You will see any battery drain on that. Clock is going to be a small drain. If you see a current then go through the fuses one by one to see which circuit it is.

SOLVED!

Jumped the car again, and had a good look round for the really obvious. As per message from a forum member, I checked the boot light, which was shorted on.

Ordered new switch today and will fit next week.
