<div class="bbWrapper">I've just noticed that my auto shift does not indicate what gear I have selected (i.e. doesn't light up). Does anybody know if my pre-facelift w202 has this feature? I have seen a facelift model and the selected gear definitely gets lit up.<br /> <br /> Thanks,<br /> Steve</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Mine (pre-facelift W202) does, but only when the lights are on.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper"><blockquote data-attributes="" data-quote="Jukka" data-source="" class="bbCodeBlock bbCodeBlock--expandable bbCodeBlock--quote js-expandWatch"> <div class="bbCodeBlock-title"> Jukka said: </div> <div class="bbCodeBlock-content"> <div class="bbCodeBlock-expandContent js-expandContent "> Mine (pre-facelift W202) does, but only when the lights are on. </div> <div class="bbCodeBlock-expandLink js-expandLink"><a role="button" tabindex="0">Click to expand...</a></div> </div> </blockquote><br /> Thanks Jukka - Just need to clarify something - The gear indicators are all illuminated but does it light up which gear you are actually in? i.e. if you are in 'D' does the 'D' actually light up brighter (or different colour) than the rest?<br /> <br /> Cheers,<br /> Steve</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">...I'll look at mine and report back tomorrow.<br /> Les</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">I'm pretty sure that pre-facelift W202's should illuminate all the gear options when the lights are switched on and also highlight the currently selected gear. In fact I'm certain my dad's 1987 W124 200 does this and a C-Class is much later than the W124.<br /> <br /> S.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">Mine just lights up nothing else,Didn't think that the actual gear your in would be highlighted a little brighter?<br /> <br /> Anyone got a wiring diagram that might show more than one bulb?</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">my 96' 202 lights all gear options with the selected gear much brighter. Couldnt tell if its more than one bulb or a filter that moves along with the gear lever.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">mine light up brighter too on the gear selected.</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">When lights are on they all light up, but the selected gear is always brighter.<br /> Mine's 1999 w202 c230k (facelift). Though I don't think this would make a difference.<br /> Don't know oabout if there's a filter.<br /> Rgds<br /> Les</div>

<div class="bbWrapper">My W124 does not show the selected gear any brighter than the others....</div>
