W202 C230 Engine into A W202 C180

I've been offered a low mileage engine out of a C230 pretty cheap and was wondering how much of a job it is (obviously it'll be fitted by a garage) to swap for my C180's? There's not enough guts in my C180 as I live in a very mountainous area and I need something with more power without changing the car. What do I need altogether for a swap like this? What size Mercedes engine could go in it and should I look for a larger 'lump'?

Save yourself the agro, sell yours and buy a C230K.

For the way the W202 prices are going nowadays, its the best way to go id say.

Judging by another members new purchase, a C230k can be purchased for as little as £1800. Save yourself the bother and sell/buy a new one

Hi,
You,ll need more then the motor, you,ll need the ECU as well complete with the loom, and If either your vehicle or the vehicle the 230 engine came out of is a facelift model I,d forget it.
As mentioned you can get these larger engined cars now so cheap.
