w202 front spring perch.

Hi as anyone done a replacement spring perch? Top of front spring. Got a new one coming from merc but was just wondering how to do it. Mig weld it around the edges one in position? Drill and fill weld then weld around edges? Input would be helpful ta.

Drill the flange holes a bit larger and puddle weld it.

When u drill out original spot welds drill the same holes in your new panel then plug weld it back on

But there's no harm in doing this and then stitching the seams here and there too
