hi have a w202 with a fuel sender unit bouncing so im going to replace it were is it located is it under rear seat

the fuel display is hoping up and down i have tryed a fuel additive no joy to clean it

It is under the car and there is two of them on both sides of the tank.

is their any way of knowing which one is at fault

sorry about this but would a w202 c36 sender be the same as a c240 one

It is very likely that it will be the same but I cant be 100% sure. Check on EPC.

hi everyone. Does the w202 have a filter or other pump located at the rear side (tank or beside tank). as per above link it doesn't seem like it. my merc runs only on fuel manually poured on to the filter. once that finishes it cuts out and will not start unless process is repeated to remove filter and pour diesel directly.we used an elimination method on my c250 diesel with my mechanic. first we changed the filters (main and prefilter), then we checked the fuel heater exchange to see if there was a blockage, it was clear, then we checked the inline valve and it is not blocked either and works fine. we put a new fuel pump (at the peril of my pocket because it did ot change anything). he then put diesel in the filter and cranked her up. she ran with a rough idle while he tested the injectors and they were all recieving diesel which eliminates the inline injection pump. we are convinced there should be another pump responsible for pulling the diesel from the tank toward the heat exchange. Please share your knowledge if you have worked on these beauties before.

The O rings and clear pipes have no visible leak so we ruled them out.
