w202 intake manifold question

i fitted new cats to my w202 MB ones

i tought i had a blow under or near drivers side pedals

i said i would look at the engine bay so i striped out all plastic parts air box maf intake pipe and so on i saw a little oil near rocker so i nipped the bolts a little

i looked at the metal intake manifold and on the same side of the loose rocker cover of a m112 engine the bolts were loose i mean rattle loose all 5 were could this having given me that blowing noise .....? and should they be torqued i just nipped up not over tight i put tread lock on the bolts

I doubt the exhaust noise was caused by a loose intake manifold. If the engine was breathing in extra air from the loose manifold it would run very badly.

she is running great just that noise

im taking exhaust off again to check every thing
