My 2000 W202 is due its MOT in about 2 months time, its the first time I will have mot it since i bought it.
Its currently got 121000 on the clock.

Are there any items i should look out for before it goes for the mot? Im putting this post up just now so that if there is anything i can see about fixing it myself before putting it for an mot.... on a very tight budget these days.

My two w202's both passed first time! My MOT is up in June/July, hopefully fly through!

Don't know what specific things to look out for, check all bulbs work, fluid levels, tyre tread, brakes...

just common sense stuff really - like check all the bulbs inc the number plate ones, wiper blade, washers, horn, tyres are OK. Assume that the brakes pull up Ok and there are no horrid knocks or creaks from the suspension and the engine starts and runs OK - not much more you can do. I would book it in to a place where you can wait with it - then give it a good 10 mile run before taking it in - makes sure the emissions have got the best chance of passing.

Hi,
Common 202 MOT failure points, things to check, front lower ball joints, brake hoses, rusty brake pipes, lower wishbone inner bushes (front) track rod ends, and as above check all bulbs, washers horn etc.
Good luck!
