W202 strange autobox behaviour

I have a 99 c200 with approx 130k miles
Recently the gear box has misbehaved on one or two occasion in the last few wks.
First time was going round a mini roundabout the gear box went into neutral and would engage into gear?! I had to coast to a safe spot, pulled over and stopped. Putting the gear box into park, I waited a few seconds before I engaged drive again, it took a few seconds before it engaged and I set off as normal!
Second time was tonight when I tried to engage reverse it wouldn't engage and just kept revving! Again I put into park and waited a second before trying reverse.. Once again it set off rather gingerly and was alright after 5 mins..

Can anyone help me figure what it could be?

First thing I would do is get the ATF level checked
Secondly, check when was the last time the autobox was last flushed and ATF and filter changed
If all this is normal and done recently, I guess a more in depth investigation needs to be done by someone in the know

I've owned the car for 4 years and not had the ATF done.. Hope it's just that!!
Can anyone recommend a garage around north west London (harrow area)?

Just search Wayne Gates and Nair Autos (perviosily Mercstar), both new Harrow Civic centre and used in the past with good service.
