W203 2001 (pre-facelift) Instrument questions

So I have figured out most of my C270, however as I have the incorrect books (I have a pristine set for the 2004+); I have a couple of questions:

What does the 'EC Rest' button do on the heater controls?

Can someone give me a rundown of the Lighting options on the computer settings controlled via the steering wheel menus?

or a link to a pdf of the correct user guide would be helpful

EC rest is a feature that runs the ventilation fan and pumps heat from the engine (via an extra water pump) after you switch off the car. Nice in the winter when you stop outside school and don't want to kill off the other kids with the engine running.

I think the lighting options will be same as newer car
