Hi ive been looking at alot of C class Mercedes benz, i was wanting this front bumper:

I was wondering where you could get this numper from and the name of it? I think its the AMG bumper. As the cars i am looking at all have the standard Avantgarde or classic bumper on them! Help is appreciated!

you can get this bumper from the dealer as an accessory unpainted.

wouldnt expect much change from 1k for it tho. not worth it in my mind.

That is the AMG front bumper, the rear one looks great too. Have a look at the Mercedes web site and look at the cars with the AMG Sport kit or the C32 AMG.

You can occassionaly find them on ebay but they will require repainting.

If you buy the AMG front bumper you need to change the foglights that you have, plus remember the painting.

I'm looking at doing this on mine at the moment too.

this is a defo must have, i dont mind paying around 1k for it as it completely changes the image of the car to an elegant look. Im gona start looking on ebay, leme know if you guys have any good links or good places to get it, thanks.
What fog lights are required for it?

Check www.mercedesperformance.co.uk , they sell lots of kits and can do just the front bumper for about £649 ex VAT. Still needs fitting & paint though too. Do you want the full kit or just the front bumper? Worth looking at Ebay too.

hmm i think it could look odd without the back bumper, Thanks for ur help a-avantgarde your a great asset to this forum, every querie ive had you ave managed to answer it straight away,
So what step are you at on doing the amg bumper? I think it wil have to be the full kit, looks stunning!

Thanks for the compliment mate,

I'm just trying to get a good price on the kit. I'll give MercedesPerformance a call at some point and see if they will haggle or do a deal on the supply & fit. I really want the AMG exhaust too and it definitely needs the rear AMG bumper to look goos. I'll probably upgrade the front lights to Bi-Xenon or the clear Halogen at the same time whilst they've got the bumper off.

I'll warn you (although you proably already know!) that moddifying these cars (or any car) is addictive & is no good for your wallet

Hey just a thought - anyone interested in a group buy for W203 AMG kits ???

You have no idea!! I could have had this sprayed up and on my car for less than £200!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh my god, thats a downer, im good friends with a great painter so i dnt need to worry bout painting and fitting though, thr AMG kit looks so mint, Defo a MUST,
A-Avantgarde where did you get your steering wheel from? I love any steering wheel that aint the standard black one! lol

I got my wheel from http://www.dana24.de/ through German ebay.

The Wood/Leather wheel on the W209 (Current CLK) looks much better but 'I think' you need to change the airbag for that one to work (expensive mod!). Steve (MbenzNL) has got the W209 Wood/Leather wheel to work in a W203 but there is a potential compatability issue.

There are some other steering wheels around from MB but also tuners such as Brabus etc. The Elegance & Avantgarde both come with a 4 spoke Leather rimmed wheel as standard. If you get a Classic it's most likely to have a plastic wheel.

You could go for the 3 spoke wheel fromt the current Sport models but that wheel is only available in black and again I think you need a different airbag for that one to work (again becomes quite expensive!). The wheel I have uses the same airbag / centre pad / steering controls and just looks a little different.

im lookin for the same wheel you have, the light grey colour, how much was it and did you fit it your self? so did you say for the wheel you have the airbag does not need changing? Does that company understand English if i email them?

The list price for the wheel is about £430 from MB, I got it for almost half that. I had it fitted by George Fraser a Merc specialist in Alperton (West London). Yes the airbag is the same it's just swapped over from one wheel to the other.

I can't remember about the language I think the guy at Dana (Daniel Naumann) speaks english. I've dealt with a couple of parts suppliers in Germany recently and I usually use Google Language tools and send my emails in German & English. Some of them reply in English.

Hope this helps...
