W203 C200CDI T
Hello guys, David newbie writing from Italy.

I'm having some troubles with my 2003 C200CDI 90Kw
the car has 165.000kms and I just had EGR valve replaced.

This is the problem:
In some cases (especially after a ride at constant 2.000/2.500rpm) when I try to speed up (reaching abou 3.000rpm in 5 or 6 speed), the car goes on limp mode.

I've been to Mercedes dealers, they connected the car to Star diagnosis system and the result was "Turbo charger overpressure".

They said the problem is wastegate which doesn't work properly and tried to lubricate it (with no results).
They also said that if I keep having this problem, the only solution will the the whole turbocharger replacement, as wastegate is integrated.

The car runs perfectly and has a normal oil consumption, I wouldn't like to replace the turbo for a minor issue like that.

Do someone has any suggestion or possible solution?

Thank you in advance

David

Think it is quite a common fault on them and yes it is a whole turbo change.

Sounds like a turbo issue.

IIrc the actuator is not available as a separate part.

Hi I think it might be a DPF filter blocked

I have the same problem and the indi said DPF.
So I'm looking either to replace it or remove/clean it
I will update how it will go with mine and please don't forget to update how it will go on yours too

Mine is a 2003, no DPF installed.

Car on these days is working properly, and the issue happens only under certain circumstances.

I'll start looking for overhauled turbochargers and once the problem become more common, I'll order one.

Please advice about good turbo dealers in Europe... I found something in Germany and in UK, with prices between 350 and 450 euros.

In Italy the best I got 'till now is 800 euros.

If you have a good website to suggest, it'll be more then welcome.

Than you folks
