Well i've had a quite a bad knocking noise coming from the drivers wheel for sometime and with the MOT due soon i had to get things addressed! From looking i knew it was the lower control arm bushes.
Well with being a tighta*se i decided to have a go myself and replace it, well after a few hours it's changed.
I decided to do both sides although i'm not sure if you really need to.
I'm surprised at how easy it was, got them from Eurocarparts at £45 plus the VAT.
The drivers side bush actually fell out of the arm! Don't need to be a genius to work out this was the problem!
One thing i did notice is the upper arm bush on the drivers side has a tear in it towards the bottom. From looking at the position of the ball joint i am sure the bottom of the strut will need to be dismantled.
Anyone done an upper arm before? Do these need to be done in pairs?
