The silver one.
Wife says car from a cold start reversing make slight clicking sound, she assumed tyre as once driving noise dissapeared.

Only seems to happen on right hand lock

Quick check and both front bearings have play, so as i am pulling them down tomorrow i was just wondering are they adjustabe same as W210?

I havent heard it yet and everytime i have been in the car with Lisa the car has not made the noise:D much to her annoyance.

If there is play, you don't need to pull the hubs down, just put a little more "tightening" on the hub nut, without locking it up on free turn spin (front end jacked up of course) and make sure that there is plenty green grease in the hub.

As far as the clicking is concerned, I cannot see this being related to the bearings. There is nothing there to click.

Have you checked the tyre treads for stones that could cause clicking ?

Thanks DM just what i need to know.

C240 i worded that wrongly i should have said adjusting tomorrow as opposed to pulling down:)

Wife said do you reckon its the bearings, shes quite switched on, so i have been winding her up telling it needs new ones at £200 a side:D .

Offside adjusted lovely , nearside not so good so will need new bearings.

What's the official MB endfloat spec for these bearings? Are they like earlier MB front wheel bearings which need quite precise adjustment?
