hi guys
a friend of mine has a w203 c180 and wants to upgrade to the mercedes satnav unit. could anyone tell us which unit would be the best one to fit with the least fuss or will it be a big job

If its prefacelift I think you need the older CD based system. At least thats what is in our prefacelift 209. Although these systems all look the same they are not interchangeable for all models. 203 and 209 are. Be very careful to get the right unit. Fitting is not very difficult - just a bit fiddly. If in doubt ask Alfie or Richard at comandonline.co.uk. They did mine a few years back.

As above really. He can fit the old Comand 2.0 which would have been the unit that was optional for his car. Upgrading to the later NTG2 or NTG2.5 will mean changing the centre console to a post facelift.
