Hi, i have cracked spring or two on my C270 CDI, i was considering Brabus springs or Eibach ones as used before and they were great. Anyone have any suggestions?? I would ideall like the car to sit no lower than a stock W203 C320 CDI with Sport Pack but im not sure how much lower they sit than my stock C270........Any help welcome...

Because Brabus springs from an online genuine MB supplier cost me a little more than Eibach springs I went for the "real" deal.

Not sure how far Eibach springs will drop, but Brabus ones lower by about 30mm

But, of course you could change the spring pads too, for added lowth...

I'm sure BlackC55 will be along in abit ;)

I basically want it to be of similar height to a standard W203 with sport pack as i will be changing my standard 17" alloys for 18 or 19 inch AMG wheels soon enough.....I heard that Brabus springs are made by Eibach???

Surely the ride height won't change because of the wheels?

The overall diameter should stay the same to keep your speedo gearing correct...

As to whether Eibach make springs for Brabus, I can't say, but I preferred to purchase from Mercedes rather than Springs Direct because I felt that warranty issues would be managed better.

In theory it shouldnt make a difference but visually it does, i changed the wheels on my last merc from 17" to 18" and it looked like it had been jacked up, turned into an ML.....!!

Eibach probably do make the springs for Brabus, albeit Brabus branded springs may be a different specification to Eibach branded springs.

IIRC AMG dampers are made by Bilstein.

Eibach or H&R are the best.
