w203 - w204 ipod connection? please help newbie MB owner

Hello I'm a newbie here, this is my first post.
So please forgive if my question is obvious, or has been asked many times before.

I have just bought a 2007 C180k coupe (I've not even picked the car up yet!)

I'm assuming the car I have is a W203?

If this is so, could I use a W204 ipod connection wiring harness to connect an ipod?

I just wondered if the harness from the w204 was compatible, and would it be a straight plug and play job to the back of the stereo, or any there other modules needed.

Just to add to the above post, the w204 wiring harness also has a black box stickered Mercedes Benz ipod amplifier A 204 870 3994, and another larger black box.

I doubt if the 204 part would be compatible with a 203.

Have a read of Richard's excellent website and check out the looms and fitting kits on this site.

Resident expert npuk will be along at some point to give a more knowledgeable answer!

W203 (NTG2 technology) and W204 (NTG4), and W204 facelift (NTG4.5) wiring are all very very different, so the W203 iPod kit can not be used in a W204 and vice-versa

Thanks for the replies guys, (I just saw the ipod W204 kit on ebay for £15, so i hoped it might do the job) but not my lucky day. Thanks for the advise.
