w204 10k and needs new discs all round

a good friend has a new c class w204 with 10k on the clock,his wife took it to mb whitefield 3 weeks ago for a service,was told it needed new discs and pads front and rear,go ahead and do it she said.collected the car and paid the bill.
weekend my friend is washing the car and spots the new disc plates,his wife forgot to mention the huge bill or the fact they had been changed.he's called whitefield and screamed down the phone "10k and needs new discs and pads",no joy with them,then he's called mb uk who say its a heavy car and thus heavy on the brakes but they will look into the complaint and get back to him.
are they taking the p*ss 10k and needs discs!!!!!

MLs are heavy on the discs, but even they last longer (most of the time).

Licence to print money - quick to do, but lots of time on the tarriff - and many owners aren't prepared to take chances on brakes being a safety item.

Olly has just changed my front discs and pads -- W203 - 50,000 miles with a heavy 320 cdi engine -- rears still ok...

this is ridiculous
