W204: 225/45/17 summer tires recommendation

As I am currently running the winter wheels, it gave me the chance to have a better look at the summer wheels and tires, and noticed that the rear Continental SC 5 are down to 3 mm, and will therefore probably replace them before putting back the summer wheels in March/April.

The fronts are annoyingly Continental SC 2 with 7-8 mm (was on the car when I got it), so will not have a matching set for a while (OCD, I know).

Any recommendation for a better tyre (especially looking for a quiet tyre, decent longevity and good rain characteristics) than the SC 5? Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2? Michelin Pilot Sport 3?

I have these fitted to all 4 corners: 225/45 ZR17 Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta XL 94Y (CT-17330) from Click on Tyres

These are just as good as your Goodyears/Michelins etc.

Thanks for the suggestions. The Vredestein are the same price as Continental, so prefer to stick with those.

May just get another pair of SC5.

These are just as good as your Goodyears/Michelins etc.

I've got the Ultrac Vorti's which as far as I understand supersede the Sessanta's.

Either way, they're amazing tyres IMO, wet weather performance is excellent.

Vredesteins are much cheaper than Conti's

have you tried Camskills

My sizes 245 40 18 and 265 35 18 are around £120 cheaper for full set of 4
