Hiya Guys
Since having the Comand Retro-fitted just over 2 weeks ago I Recently Started to get a awful rattle coming from the unit, After finally hearing enough I decided to tackle the system to find the source of the Rattle.
I removed the Heater Vents and still no Rattle so next came out the Head unit and the rattle had stopped, checked inside the dash and nothing was loose so thought it must be the Unit, checked the 4 Lugs at the side of the unit and give it a little shake listening out for the rattle and nothing which is a little confusing so to 100% confirm it is the Comand unit I installed my old standard Audio 20 unit in and still No rattle. Just put My Comand back in and the rattle has returned proving it is the comand head unit
I still after hours working on it don't know why the unit is rattling, all I can assume is the the 4 Lugs at the side of the unit is rattling in the side rails that it sits in.
It's been a very confusing and annoying thing but hopefully it will be sorted on Friday when the Company who done the retro fit come and install a new head unit.
Anyway has anyone has had a similar problem? And solutions? I have also tried wrapping the Lugs up to stop the rattle but still unsuccessful but when the vents are out and I put my hand in the gap and push down on the left corner of the unit it stops the rattle
