Well, I've had it three days now. I think it's a keeper.

Love:
THAT engine with THAT gearbox.
The looks
The advanced agility / sport button
Paddles.
Noise - quiter than the E when cruising, doesn't sound like a diesel when giving it loads

Not quite convinced on
The interior, the black plastics look cheap compared to the E
Lack of traditional bonnet emblem
6 spoke wheels with 5 studs
Steering wheel - just doesn't feel right yet - may soften in time

Take it for a decent re-map should be on top of your list!

Remap too early and I'll get bored of it quicker. To be fair I was bored with the E which is why I jumped into this one, but the E was about to get mapped (had just stuck new tyres and had a full suspension geometry done on it).

This is something else though - had a gent in a subaru look shocked as I passed him earlier...

Quite agree! I'm on my 5th version of the THAT engine and gearbox and I'm not bored yet!
I've never had them in a car quite as compact as the C class and I guess the performance is ...err...adequate
I can also vouch for the fact that the engine responds extremley well to a remap. Best I have tried are Brabus and Superchips.

Do you know of anything that can be used to go further (i.e. in addition to) than the Brabus? I am sure that there must be but, I dont know if I would trust some of the advertised claims and am also a little wary of the possibility of compromising reliability. Never having mixed in "engine tuning circles" myself, I wondered if you had any advice or recommendations.

Trouble with remapping this engine is.............. You get used to it then wonder if it's still remapped.
