Having had a look under the car I can't see where the axale stands should be located. The handbook only appears to cover the jacking points. As I'm going to do some painting on the discs I want to use an axle stand. Does anyone have photos or diagrams of where the axle stand should be located when working on front and rear axles?

Thanks in anticipation

Andy

It does somewhat thanks although I'm still it 100% clear. Due to space restrictions I planned to lift the car one wheel at a time using the jacking point along the sill then place an axle stand inboard of that. My old VW Passat had jacking points along the sill then inboard points which would have been used on a four point hoist. I used to put the axle stand under those. From what I can see from these links you have to put the axle stand under the jacking point on the sill.

I bought addaptor (jack pad)on evil bay, kinda like a fitted ice hockey puck, they fit in the sill cut outs for the jack and make it easy to use a trolley jack(which I carry in the boot) you can use a jack on the jack
point in the middle of the car then position the axle stand to take the weight on the sill jacking point,
