W204 Daytime LED Running Lights

Don't the new ones come with them as standard ?

Could you get a part number and try Inchcape ?

I've got a new one (Oct 09) and no LEDs. I think the new E Class have them.

Where have the fog lights disappeared to? :confused:

Does anyone actually ever use front fog lights .............. in fog????

Im sure you only get them when you order the xenon headlamps or the intel lighting pack i think.

On the W212 and W212 coupe , when the front fogs are selected , the LED daylight running lamps get brighter.

You kind of have to if you want the rears on. The switch only lets you turn the rear light on with the fronts.

Why do you want them? Bloody awful idea....

:dk:

There was an arguement I read somewhere pointing out that if we all had our lights on at all times, vehicles which needs their lights on become lost among the other traffic. Think emergency vehicles and their wig wags headlamps :)

Better to get used to the idea, or quit from EU. ;) (don't want to enter the old topic any further).

Decided to see what actually happens when you put fog lights on (W212, bi zenon, LED DRL);

you have to switch off auto lights and go to manual, pull switch to turn on fogs, n/s head light appears not to alter, o/s head light moves outwards and down, LED DRL go out NOT go to full brightness. Almost forgot, one, yes only one rear o/s fog light comes on when switching fogs on.

I stand corrected , i was sure at the launch of the car that the new DRL foglamp going to full brightness was demonstrated. Apologies :o

No probs Fuzzer, LED DRLs are at full brightness when no other light is on (that'll be daytime then :thumb:) the LEDs drop to about half power as soon as headlights come on. You can if you so wish switch off DRLs via cluster settings.
