w204 handbrake assembly remove and refit

Hi all. I was looking to see if anyone had a guide or anything to aid in the removal of the footbrake assembly in a W204 C Class saloon? I want to take it out, clean it up and possibly replace as it has an issue with the retaining bar (hook shaped, looks like an allen key) jumping out of it's slot. Done a few online searches and on here, nothing coming up, anyone have any pointers?

When I had to replace the whole foot brake assembly on my S204 I recall it being very easy. Sorry i'm scant on detail but get down in to the footwell and take a look - as I recall it was all quite self explanatory.

Mine was a bloody nightmare on my old W03. The parking foot brake assembly that is. The pedal bbx assembly of the actual brake pedal is a very easy process.
