Hello,

Sorry im new to the forum and have searched around for this answer but couldnt find it.

Im looking to get rear facelifted tail lights fitted to my 2009 W204 C Class.
Could I just get the OEM 2012 lights and have them installed and get someone to reprogram the SAM for them to work or would it be better to get Plug & Play ones which specifically say 08-2011 models, all be it they look slightly different with a few less LED's in the middle section of the light.

I have found these on ebay
MERCEDES BENZ C CLASS W204 2011- REAR TAIL LIGHTS 1 PAIR O/S & N/S | eBay

They do state they are not suitable for my car, but is that just due to the reprogramming? I know they arent official Mercedes OEM lights but is there much difference?

Wheres the best place to buy OEM tail lights, cant seem to find them?

Thanks in advance.

The user "Tebs" has retro-fitted the facelift rear lights, if you shoot him a PM he should be able to give you the details of the coding in exchange for a £10 donation to charity, and let you know which garage he used/what software packages a garage will need to do it.

There is also the option of:
These are LED replacement bulbs which do not produce warning errors for non-xenon cars.(Non-P2)
These are LED replacement bulbs which do not produce warning errors for xenon factory cars. (P2)

AznOptics seem to have really good reviews over in the USA, but fire them an email for more info.

The coding isnt an issue, i know someone who can do it for me.

I just wanted to know if I should just get OEM 2012 lights from the dealer or buy from eBay

I feel your pain. Trying to decide between SLS and GT to stick on my wall.
