W204 Sat Nav - Tempted! Any Opinions?

I am tempted but I am risk adverse. Has anybody bought a Comand from ebay?

Does anyone have any opinions on the risks or considerations?

I have not bought anything more expensive than wheels from eBay but a forum member did buy Comand for a W204. You should get it cheaper too, many at eBay.de available at less than this device.

I did not check if this one had the wiring and the GPS antenna included.

I've bought loads of nav units from ebay, not had a problem so far, most from Poland.
A few people on the Audi and BMW forums have mentioned positive things from that seller as well.

I would just make sure you have everything ready to go so you can test it all when you get it, leave it weeks and then try and say there's a problem and you won't get much joy.

This is actually the first W204 comand I have seen at a reasonable price. The closest previous price I saw was £1,800.

If I bought it, where would I go and how much should it cost to have installed?

Not all sellers are German and I have not found one yet that would not accept my questions in English. Buying isn't that different if that is your concern.

Hi,i am new to this forum,my wife has just bought a 09 c class and we are looking at nav units on ebay, every unit seems to have a different type number,what is the difference? ,also how will i know if our car is prewired to take the unit,any comments would be useful.

A W204 would need Comand NTG4. It wont be pre-wired. Comand Online sell the retrofit kit needed to install the unit.
