Not a C63 but I turn mine off always. Will depend a lot on where people live and the type of driving they regularly experience. For where I live the traffic isn’t that bad and any stop will be brief - such that running through an engine on/off cycle would put an unnecessary amount of wear on the engine components versus the time switched off and tiny amount of fuel saved. A little anticipation and forward scanning removes a lot of the need to stop at all so yeah for me, I switch it off.
Hi , I do mainly short trips and I find that the Stop Start cuts in when I stop the car and accelerate immediately and hesitates when a 44 tonner is bearing down on the me and the HG driver is saying ( good morning ) or similar wording !
I turn mine off because when the engine and gearbox is fully warm I find when you going down a slightly hill the car goes into Neutral then when you brake or accelerate it puts the gearbox back in gear and I don’t really like the idea that it jumps in and out of neutral can’t be good for the long run ??
I use mine from time to time. Under the right circumstances I think it's pretty good.
The thing I don't like about it is I've got a history of driving a mixture of old classics, clapped out cheapo cars or clapped out cheapo classics so the engine cutting out when you pull up fills me with dread and I get that feeling in the pit of my stomach
