Perhaps someone could enlighten me on W207 350cdi brakes , my cars brakes are quite noisy , not squeaking or squealing but a loud droning noise when in use , (only previous car i had similar issues was an E46 M3 , and was told it is the brake design floating/disc/caliper set up). The discs,calpers and pads are in good condition , and if it is a trait of the car then thats fine , because they certainly are very effective when needed.
Update on the brake droning noise , absolutely no mechanical issues with the car , pads,discs,calipers all good , but on closer inspection of my recently purchased e350cdi coupe , the front wheels were fitted with a pair on nearly new but cheap INFINITY tyres with a V pattern. Luckily i had a spare pair of continental conti-sport 235/40/18 tyres (i use these on the front of my Mondeo ST estate work bus in the summer) , with 75% or 6mm tread , so i went to my local tyre bay to check ,fit and balance the tyres , and the droning noise has completely disappeared, (they also checked the rear Michelin tyres and they were fine). But the noise from the original cheap nasty INFINITY tyres created was scary, proof of the adage , you get what you pay for
