W209 Tinted Lights??

Hi guys

Can you get tinted rear lights as I have seen a CLK with them in my area...or is it a custom job with the spray can??

Try ebay - can't see any 209 ones at present though.

Most likely to be a Halfords spray can jobby or one of these:

There is a guy on ebay germany who seems to be selling smoked tail lights for pretty much every car - so may be worth checkin that out.

For a W209 I wouldn't smoke the tail lights as dark as the above, a light/grey smoke will give it a better look.

Yeah I wanted to go with a lightish tint, as mine is black so would look ok

Looks like ill have to go down the spray can route!

It's not an easy job, to do it properly involves removing the tailights, masking up, and unless you have spare set you wont be able to drive your car for 24 hours. You will also need to coat with a couple of layers of clear lacquer to make the tint look right.
