My e320 cdi w210 has the same problem where the turbo actuator isnt moving and feels slow then goes into limp mode at times. started off by doing an EGR shunt - no good. Took the primary cat out - no good. took the back of the EGR off (without taking off the inlet manifold) and was covered in gunk. Where i used EGR cleaner pre turbo, it flushed all the carbon through the egr and into my vac lines where it then goes solid, blocking everything. So cleaned out the 2 transducers for the egr and turbo, vac lines coming off of the egr/ turbo and the 2 white vac lines going to the t joint then into the brake servo. used egr cleaner, welding wire and a hover to unblock the lines. also sucked on the vac line for a actuator which moved it.
SO, after cleaning all this up the turbo actuator STILL isnt moving so im guessing theres still no vac line pressure. So the next bet is to see if the brake servo vac pipe is clear and working. seen online that the valves in them can knacker out so this is the next port of call for me! just trying to find out how to remove it. Will get back to you once its done.
