Hey w210 people I'm new to all this so here goes...
Just got my 3rd w210 this ones an estate 320cdi year 2000 and has done 162k. Engine sweet but gear change erratic and alarm keeps going off sirens behind drivers wing (uk) .. It's ok when I disconnect battery at bedtime. But not practical if alarm keeps going. Herd about disconnecting siren... Is that ok? Ie no warnings on dash etc??
Any help appreciated

Common fault for the sirens to pack up, new one from MB is circa £80

Check when the box last had a fluid/filter change.

RE alarm, unplugging siren means;
No warning LED on dash alarm switch.
Central locking works as usual except no fishing hazards when locking / unlocking.

If the lights do not flash it is probably a contact switch on the door...check all 4. I had this and racked my brains as to why the lights stopped flashing on closure, switch cleaner should sold it or they may be out of place and do not contact properly

Ok that's great will check and clean door pins if no joy will go for a new siren
As for gear issue it drives fine if I'm very light footed. If I put my foot down will get stuck in 2nd gear or sometimes it juddered almost like it's wanting to change but can't make it's mind up!
Was concerned about the torque converter due to the mileage and the fact the cars been chipped by brabus from new .
Any thoughts would be appreciated
