Hi there,

I just got my car back from the coachworks this evening where it was having a small bump from a bus repaired. Anyway, I've just noticed the outside temperature guage is stuck at -38 degrees which I assume is because the coachworks forgot to re-connect the temperature sender when they had the bumper off.

I guess it's a simple job to reconnect it but I don't have a clue where it is! Does anybody know? It's a 1999 E300 Turbodiesel Avantgarde saloon.

Thanks in advance!

Greetings,
Michael

Well....I've managed to find where the sensor is on the front bumper grille but I can't get to the wires! The underneath of the valance is blocked by the plastic under engine cover making it almost impossible.

Is there an easy way to get to it? It seems silly to go all the way back to the repairer for what is probably a 5 minute job! I'd be really grateful for any advice.

Thanks again.
