Hi All,

I am new here but not new to Mercedes Ownership.

I have had a 2000 S320 cdi, a 1990 124 300TE.

I currently own a 1998 W140 S320 in silver and have recently purchased a W210 e240 estate elegance which is where I have my problem.

The SRS light is on which I presume is the dreaded seat sensor and the passenger window is inoperative.

There is a click from the door but no action

I fitted a new motor without any success, so I changed the control module still no success.

Could the seat sensor be stopping the window working?

Any Thoughts???:wallbash:

I don't think the seat sensor will have any thing to do with the window. My windows work...SRS light is also on.

Hi Thanks for your input I thought it was unlikely but have run out of ideas.

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Hi,
Did you test for a voltage at the window motor connector?

Hi Andy,

I have taken it to bits again I have removed the plug there are 6 wires on it
there is a purple and black thin wire with 12v on it then a black thick wire no voltage then a little black wire again no voltage.
the next row has a thin green and black wire with 12v then a thick green wire which appears to be the negative no voltage the a thin blue and black wire with 12v on it.

I checked the door control module there is a plug with 4 x thick wires which I took to be the power supply red and Blue 12v brown negative green which goes to the window motor ans a negative and a black with no power.

I plugged in the replacement module that I have and it is the same as the one that's in the car.

It looks to me that I need to get a positive feed on the black wire that goes to the motor !!!

Any thoughts?
