W210 relaunced....

I hope it has got a lot of rustproofing - W210 meets Lancia....

Certainly ugly enough to be a recent Lancia, have they run out of decent designers in Italy?

It's the lipstick on a pig design school at work.

Apparantly there is going to be a Lancia Grand Voyager too.

I think it looks Ok but I always did like the look of the 300C

at least it looks better then a W210! *runs for cover*

I like it. Let's hope they do a large-engined estate version - that'll depreciate like a stone and I'll be able to get a cheap one in 3 years.

I think you have a typo in there - you seem to have switched a 0 for a 2.:p

Well kept W210s still cut it in the looks department and compared with what's coming out are looking better and better. (Shabby ones tend to look bad though - IMO)

That sucks, big time. The Lancia name deserves better.

A Fulvia 1600HF and a Stratos are definitely in my top 10 dream garage candidates..

Cheers,

Gaz

An insult to the name of Lancia! I hate badge engineering in all it's forms.

Will it still have a Mercedes engine? The gearbox is an 8sp unit. I presume thats not an MB unit and a ZF one.

Look at it another way, you get a nice large family car, with a nice Mercedes engine and RWD chassis for little more than a Mondeo price tag. That or a new Saab 95. The Lancia Wins.

It's going to use a VM Moturi engine. They are good engines, probably stronger than a Merc diesel now.

If it's decent inside and doesn't rust it should be a good car, better than a 300C or most mainstream stuff.

Funny you should mention a SAAB, of course the last Thema was the Type4 body also used as a SAAB 9000.

But no SAAB came with a Ferrari engine though. ;)

It does tempt me so....

Especially if its nice and cheap in a few years.

Someone at my work has a new 95. Its a handsome big brute and looks good inside and out, so I went onto the website and tried configuring one.

I could have a new 212 E350cdi for the same or a bit less.
