Hi All,

I have just purchased my first "new Benz" after a wonderful succession of W124 and W201's

The "New" car is a 06 plate W211 E Estate with Audio20. It has the UHI? phone connection in the center armrest ready to go, I have seen MANY posts about Bluetooth in the cars and I'm keen to get one of the adapters.

From my understanding there are 2 units, the MB HFP and a Viseeo product, I was wondering if those with experience could guide me as to which unit is best as have seen things about volumes being really faint etc etc

Cheers

Chris

I have the MB HFP unit in my W219 CLS (much the same as the W211) and it works fine. Sometimes a little slow to pull up the address book on some Android phones but volume is fine.
Available at a resonable price also - search p/n B67875877 on Ebay or Amazon etc.

Get the HFP, I've tried the competition on a few occasions and they're not up to much.

Thanks guys I ordered the HFP and it arrived yesterday PM, I fired it in easy to get everything connected but I have the volume issue, I have to be right next to the rear mirror for people to hear me or full on shouting, is this a car problem do you think?

Sorry to hear your unit is too quiet - I have experienced the lack of volume on nearly every other handsfree device other than the MB HFP. If there are any settings on your phone for background noise suppression then it would be worth backing them off in addition to turning up the phone volume to maximum during a call with the side buttons on the phone.
Incidentally, I previously used an I-phone(6) and it was more prone to poor performance with handsfree units than the Android I use now.....
