w211 5.0 V8 (113 967/113960) differences?

hi all,

I am trying to find out the answer to differences between the 5.0 V8s Mercedes made in the early 2000's.

Mainly are there any differences between the internals of a 113.967 (E class/CLS) and a 113.960 (CL500, SL500 etc)

I could be completely wrong but I think it has something to do with total oil capacity due to sump design for specific chassis.
