W211 Comand removal if compartment doesn't open

Hi there, my new to me 2008 E320 has an upgraded HU , albeit the Bluetooth doesn't work on it. So I want to pull it out and put a Bluetooth Aux adapter in.

However the 'secret compartment' doesn't open so I have no idea how to access the TX screws.

Any ideas?
