w211 disc and pad change

hello all, im about to change front and rear discs n pads on my 2007 w211 registered oct of that year. its a facelift, now read all the threads i can find all looks good to me. one thing im concerned about is sbc would my car have this ? and to make sure what am i looking for in the engine bay any tell tale signs. ive had a good look round cant see anything to indicate a unit and if as i suspect there aint one is there any precautions i need to take with the later system or is it just a normal change. thanks for any help and advice in advance.

Im pretty sure on your year of car it wont have sbc, Its located behind the front o/s Headlight unit, Large alloy ABS pump with SBC cast into it.

See mine above which has it 2003 year

If you have SBC you'd hear the pump whirring when, for example you open driver's door to get in, or when you lock the car.
You generally know if you have SBC, otherwise you'd be frequently asking, "what on earth is that noise!?"

E280 2007 is a no (no SBC).

thanks all, thats what i wanted to hear. now next question ive purchased all the neccesary online from mercedes newcastle. discs pads sensors bolts etc. the discs are are just in primer, looking to paint them before fitting.procedure for this, take off the primer before painting ? or is this a good base ? what paint ? im leaning towards hammerite smooth(spray can ) silver. is this what others would reccomend or anyone else know of anything better ? thanks for any replies.

The Oe disc's come like this to stop them corroding in stock, Fit them and bed them in, I used silver hammerite on the hub part of the disc obviously not painting the area where the disc and pads meet.

Don't remove the grey coating, let the pads remove it as they bed in.
