W211 heater issue

Hi
The heater sometimes doesn't blow out any air at all.
When front screen demister is put on that doesn't work either.
Normally fixes itself but isn't working at all.
Is this a common issue?

Hi now stopped working altogether
Can anyone advise what it could be or do I need to get it on diagnostics

probably the heater valve in the engine bay near the wiper mech, common problem

pig to get to, but do-able

Had it checked today the heater fan has gone

All sorted now which means I have a spare working fan resistor
£10 delivered
