My newly acquired 203 S211 is lovely (will get around to posting detail and pics at some stage shortly). Previous owner went to town with his mods, but the basic car is sound as a pound. Some of these mods are downright tacky - but then it was his car so that was his want! I am in the process of reversing some of these changes. Car has illuminated sills which are so obviously non-OE. Two of then light up and two of them don't. I am not about to try and find out if the fault in minor or not because they are so ill-fitting and have got to go! But I can see that the 'proper' ones will look nice.
In the accessories catalogue Mercedes list 2 part numbers, one with two sills and another with four sills. I'm not about to order from a dealer cos of their prices, but I am trying to find out if the sills that go at the rear are different i.e. shorter than the ones at the front. If this is the case then obviously there is no point in me singling out two sets of the 2-sill only part. I am guessing this is the case - but I am looking for confirmation (thought I also think Mercedes would be missing a trick here, since one might buy the fronts only, like them so much but be put off having to buy another 4 to get the rears).
