Crazy to see this. What does one reckon cause would be? Just forgot to tighten lug nuts or wheel bearing?

Looks like an AMG too.

Looking at the wheel as the Marshall was collecting it, it looks like there’s nothing (like the hub) attached to the wheel.

Might be a new lower arm/hub/wheel and a new pair of pants is all that’s required…

The (supposed) owner claimed responsibility yesterday, saying he didn't check the bolts were tight.

On the video you can clearly se the car continuing it's ill fated journey using the rear disc as a road wheel . In itself not massively expensive...but it won't end there. Scrapped hub as bolts tore out ? bent arm and shock ? Bodywork and rear muffler damage as it went over the rumble strips ? ...the list goes on.

There was a bit of drama on his previous lap too (at 1:19), although that looked like an issue with the other rear wheel.
