Does anyone have a part number for the W211 'SPORT' mats? I bought a set of the ribbed mats, whilst they fit (ish), they are not designed for the car and I'd like to exchange them for the proper ones at MB. When I spoke to MB Slough (where I got the ribbed ones from) they couldn't find any Sport ones and would only tell me "those are the correct mats for your car" and wouldn't listen to me when I told them they clearly weren't!

hmm cant imagine the difference between sport and normal mats in terms of fitment?!

in simple terms, the ribbed ones carry-on up the footrest and the sport ones don't, if the footrest wasn't so wide it wouldn't look silly, but the footrest is actually a fair bit wider than the mat

I will post some pics tonight, that will make it much easier to see what I'm talking about.

Standard mats wont fit - if you look in this pic

Sorry Gareth I nicked one of yours

The Sport models have a polished foot rest and the sport mats dont cover this, the standard mats however extend up over this.

My dealer actually argued with me that they are identical!

The previous owner of my car replaced the factory rubber pedals with AMG logo'd ones including the footrest. He also fitted the ribbed mats but merely cut the flappy bit to size with a sharp knife. This was done so neatly that you almost could not tell.

I decided I wanted the velour mats , but if you were to cut these in the same way I think they would fray (and the sports ones don't come in the colour I want). So I simply tuck the offending member under the rest of the mat.

I would say that you need A2116801848 (code 952 sport) which comes in trim colours 9E77/9F79/9E79.

Have your MB parts dept check that number.
