I'm needing a new set of rears for mine shortly, it currently has Continentals on there but I'm lead to believe the new cars are running Pirelli PZeros, can someone please confirm?

Many thanks.

The datacard in the back of your handbook should tell you the original tyres..

Mine had conti sp3 from the factory

tyres for 211 sport

My 320 cdi sport reg july 08 still came with continentals. if you can afford them they still represent good compromise of wet and dry grip. to save money 'kumos' work very well on 211's and come in high performance spec

Conti's on mine too

Falken FK452's are very good tyres, feel the same as the Goodyear Eagle F1 GDS3, but a set of 4 fitted is around £3-400 depending on 17 or 18".

I hate the Contisport Contacts with a passion, I have a set of 19's sat in my garage that came on my last car, wear well, but the ride is firm, the noise is high and the grip in the wet is crap, so they came off and some Falkens went on. About 5mm on them if anyone wants them cheap. ;)

I went from Pirelli P-Zero Neros on the 535d sport to Falken FK452's and they were just as good and lasted alot longer at half the price.

Michelin Pilot Sport 2 is my favourite tyre but they are pricey.

I have been sticking with Eagle F1 Asymmetrics instead of PS2s for my last two changes. I don't think the PS2 justifies the cost at all, and found even pushed a little in Nurburg the F1s were just as good but lasted around 8000km longer.

I haven't tried the assymetricals, I know a few guys with M3's have and prefered the PS2's, same with some of the 911 owners, but the Audi guys and the Merc owner I know who has used them have said they seem as good if not better.

Now I have PS2's on the E320 I will stick with them, to be honest some FK452's would have been more than adequate on this car, but got these with 7mm on for £400 on some 17" alshain wheels so it was a no brainer.

Think it's a personal thing, but can't see myself buying budget tyres, especially when I remember that 4 tiny contact patchs are what hold you on the road...;)
Using SC3 on mine and very happy. Not grippiest tyre (Bridgestone RE-050A), but more than enough grip, excellent in wet and comfy.
