W212 E class mystery clonk

Hi everyone,

Got a very sporadic knock/clonk from front right. I believe I’ve worked it out that it only does it when the suspension goes down so as in when the wheel falls down a pot hole. It doesn’t do it over speed bumps etc.

I’ve recently had inner and outer tie rods done and droplinks and still there

Any advice on where to check next etc is hugely appreciated as clunks/knocks etc really piss me off when I can’t find them.

2015 E class saloon, 51,000 miles on the clock.

I’m thinking maybe I need to be checking loose bolts etc as it sort of feels like it moves from outer to inner when it clonks. Could be wrong though!

I'd be looking at using a pry bar on the ball joints to see if there is any movement.

The first thing to go is usually the anti roll bar drop links. Relatively cheap part to buy and replace. Get Lemforder parts.

Yeh there’s 2 bottom ball joints which I thought could be playing up

Already replaced along with inner and outer toe rods

Update - looks like either my spring isn’t sitting correctly or I’ve lost a piece
