Have just bought an e class and inside has a small amount of this glossy black plastic witch looks beautiful but has some fine scratches in it.
Anyone tried to polish scratches out?
Anyone recommend anything to use ?
Please don’t say wrap lol
As much as I can see why people wrap em coz they a pain in the ass but I really like the glossy look.
Many thanks.

I like the glossy look as well. I am sure the scratches will polish out but haven’t tried it myself. Would try some very light polish first and see.

You won't need to go hard at it, most of that trim is soft as hell in my experience. If you've got a light polish then that's a great start. If you're going to do it by hand a small mf pad will help cutting.

Might be worth considering something like AG Super Resin Polish or CarPro essence as they also contain fillers so can reduce the visibility of remaining scratches and also add a bit of protection

Did you get the scratches off? What did you end up using?

What about a black renovater polish ? Used a turtlewax product on black cars , not particularly effective but might cover light scratches.

Meguiars plastic polish works well, it’s called plast-Rx I think. I used it on the black ash trim on my e class and it worked a treat.
