One of the joys of driving in France is the Michelin atlas.
Satnav is superfluous.
Long ago, when I ran a sophisticated Saab 900, I found that it did most of what I needed.
(It did not have A/C.)
I have not since found anything new that I actually need* in the cockpit of any more modern car, indeed most cockpits these days are labour making devices.
*apart, perhaps from an Aux input to the radio.
