Does anyone know how a keyless-go gear knob can be dismantled i.e removing the leather part and taking out the central plastic core?
I want to fit a different wooden component but still want the original leather, functions and button/wording to remain etc.

Thanks in advance, Matt :thumb:

Not a clue mate :(

Matt Hi

The wooden bit is glued. You can try and pry it off gently with a plastic wedge. Even if it cracks it wouldn't affect the leather or the core that I presume you want to save and reuse? The core is not an actual plastic but a resin like type material, just very hard. I believe they either use epoxy or silicon to keep it all together.

What are you changing it too Matt ?
